Safaricom's innovation unit, Alpha spearheaded a project in which they wanted to impart design thinking knowledge to their staff members, as an approach to internal innovation

I facilitated a 3 day workshop training with a select number of Safaricom staff members to train then on the principles of the design thinking

Over the course of 3 days, participants learned the 5 stages of design: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Test, Build. The lessons were not only theoretical but also practical, with participants going out into the field to conduct research and build prototypes of potential solutions.

At the end of the workshop they all had prototypes which they demonstrated to the business teams and that will be taken up as business products down the line.
